The
bipartisan "Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act" was recently
introduced in the U.S. Senate and with the intent on helping millions of
homeowners who are facing sudden extreme increases in flood insurance premiums.
The large rate hikes are an unintended consequence of legislation to reform the
National Flood Insurance Program.

The REALTORS Relief Foundation (RRF) is proud to kick off
its first annual online auction fundraiser. All proceeds will go to the RRF to
assist those impacted by disaster. This is a limited-time event and will start
on November 8, 2013 at noon (EST) and close on November 10, 2013 at 11 a.m.
(EST).
You can to register to bid on a wide array of items
including spectacular travel getaways, entertainment and sports packages,
restaurant and gift certificates, and many one-of-kind finds. Wherever

NYSAR’s
Legislative Working Groups voted to support Proposition #4 appearing on today’s
election ballot. NYSAR has issued a formal Statement in Support of the ballot
initiative and is encouraging all REALTORS to vote "yes" for the amendment.

the new advertising regulations going into effect January 2, 2014, now is the
time to make sure you’re clear about what’s required of you. Don’t miss this
two-part webinar series presented by NYSAR Director of Legal Services Anthony
Gatto, Esq. The first webinar will discuss the basics of advertising and what
every type of advertisement will be required to contain on January 2, 2014. The
second webinar will build on the information covered in part one and apply it
to new items found in the new regulations, such as electronic communications,
websites/social media, the use of logos and teams, etc.
