REALTOR NEWS
New York REALTORS and NYSAR staff attended two state public hearings in the Bronx and Queens late last month, submitting testimony opposing the establishment of cease and desist zones being proposed by state lawmakers. The hearings were part of the New York State Department of State’s efforts to determine whether homeowners in those areas are subject to intense and repeated solicitation facilitating the need to establish a cease and desist zone in those communities. NYSAR believes the proposal is extreme and unwarranted and will continue to oppose the measure.

The legal challenge came from the New York State United Teachers union. Learn more here.
