The Builders Association was honored to coordinate and sponsor an event on Friday June 5th as part of the 5th International Congress on Construction History. The "We Built Chicago" program concentrated on construction in Chicago over the last 100 years. It was held in the elegant ballroom of the School of the Art Institute with more than 200 attendees.

On June 3, 2015 more than 3,000 construction workers across 100 jobsites around Chicago took a break from the hammering and drilling to Stand Down as a toolbox talk was hammered home. The third annual construction industry Safety Stand Down coordinated and sponsored by the Builders Association proved to be another tremendous success.

Member Spotlight
On May 4, 2015, OSHA issued a new standard for construction work in confined spaces, which will be effective August 3, 2015. The new standard, Subpart AA of 29 CFR 1926, is intended to prevent construction workers from being hurt or killed by eliminating and isolating hazards in confined spaces at construction sites.
