Transport Canada recently released changes to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations, published in the Canada Gazette Part II, Vol. 153, No. 9, which came into force on June 1, 2019.
On May 24, the British Columbia Court of Appeal ruled against the B.C. government’s proposed amendments to the Environmental Management Act, finding that the amendments would impermissibly target a federal undertaking.
The Ontario Technical Safety and Standards Authority Board of Directors recently approved the following inspection fee increases for fuels, boiler and pressures vessels, operating engineers, elevating and amusement devices and ski lifts. These fee increases become effective August 1, 2019.
The official publication of the Environmental Emergency Regulations, 2019 in the Canada Gazette, Part II, occurred on March 6, 2019. The E2 Regulations will come into force on August 24, 2019.
New editions of standards CSA B339, CSA B340, CSA B341 and CSA B342 are effective since December 31, 2018.
