The Alberta Boilers Safety Association has released Information Bulletin IB19-007: Pressure Equipment Repair and Alteration Requirements. This bulletin establishes that ABSA document AB-513: Pressure Equipment Repair and Alteration Requirements (Edition 3, Revision 3, issued 2019-07-12) provides specific requirements that must be met for pressure equipment repair and alteration.
As part of its ongoing review and reassessment of orders issued under the Fuels Safety Act, regulations related to propane under the Act and CSA codes 149.1 and 149.2, the Technical Standards and Safety Authority circulated a report in May 2019 to Risk Reduction Group members containing reassessments to 24 orders.
The Technical Standards and Safety Authority’s Propane Advisory Council is one of eight industry advisory councils in operation to provide a forum to receive advice on safety strategies from stakeholders of its respective regulated industries.
This past summer, the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec presented the Projet d'encadrement des conversions au gaz propane et au gaz naturel des véhicules routiers (French only), a project to oversee auto propane and natural gas conversions for road vehicles.
