A permanent HOS exemption would speed up the application process by eliminating the need for individual extensions to be submitted each time one is required, which becomes ineffective during emergency situations. Once feedback from the CCMTA is received, the CPA will work to secure approvals from the provinces and territories, as well as from Transport Canada.

On November 1, Nova Scotia’s Fuel Safety Section announced the province is now accepting the PTI course, 100-03 Transportation of Dangerous Goods Propane LPG Specific, as an approved training package for cylinder delivery drivers.
