"Hotel Renovations" – the phrase send chills down the spine of meeting planners and conjures mixed emotions for hotel and convention bureau staffs.
- The Good – a property is being refreshed, updated and revitalized.
- The Bad – disruption of meetings and events.
- The Ugly – unfulfilled promises, angry planners and attendees, doubt of the success of the renovation, doubt that it was worth the time, money and potential lost business.
KCMPI's past presidents hosted a lively discussion on hotel renovations and how they affect the meetings and events industry. Members were able to share their own stories and ask questions. Together, we learned and received input from our experts. Following the program, attendees connected with colleagues and friends during the cocktail reception, while also enjoying a tour of the newly-renovated Hotel Phillips.
Many thanks to our great sponsor, the Hotel Phillips! |
