KCMPI provides a great opportunity to meet peers within the hospitality industry where relationships can be cultivated in Kansas City and beyond. As a planner, I’ve been able to utilize my local contacts to assist in places such as Belgium, Estonia and Taiwan. I have served on several committees and as a board member, which provided the means to strengthen my leadership, team-building and time management skills, to name a few. I encourage all members to find a way to get involved and embrace the knowledge that cumulatively our members have to offer. The KCMPI network is unbeatable and the bonus has been creating wonderful friendships over the years.

KCMPI gives me the opportunity to network with fellow meeting professionals at each and every event that I attend. Those people who I have cultivated relationships with in my 15 years of membership provide me a wealth of information when it’s needed—either through a phone call or email.
For a majority of my KCMPI involvement, I have served on the CMP Committee. I love being able to mentor these professionals and add them to my network as well.
