Naylor Net, the online division of association media publisher Naylor, LLC, announces the release of Mobile Newswire, a free mobile app designed to give users immediate access to association news and information by viewing current and archived articles from an association’s e-newsletter on a mobile device.
Content hosted on Mobile Newswire is displayed by date and automatically updated when a new e-newsletter is released. Once downloaded, users can choose their association’s e-newsletter from the application’s main menu and immediately begin searching for articles by keyword. Additional features include the ability to search back issues, forward articles via email and share content to Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. For associations that prefer to restrict access, an activation code will be required to view content.
"For associations that don’t have a broad- based association app, Naylor’s Mobile Newswire is a convenient alternative that will enable them to quickly deliver e-newsletter content to members on a mobile device," said Marcus Underwood, Vice President of Online Media for Naylor. "It's important that associations listen to their members and empower them with a choice of new communication platforms."
Beginning October 15, 2010, The Mobile Newswire application is available for the iPhone and iPad at www.itunes.com (after logging into iTunes, search for Naylor Net). The application is free. A BlackBerry version will be released this fall.
