The numbers are in! NPMA reports that 3,700 pest management professionals navigated over 125,000 square feet of exhibit space showcasing the products and services of over 200 companies during PestWorld 2017, held October 24-27 in Baltimore, Md. – making it the largest PestWorld in NPMA’s history!

Pi Chi Omega (PCO), the national fraternity for pest control professionals, awards $9,000 in scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in urban and industrial pest management. Currently, two of the four annual scholarships pay tribute to our early founders and industry leaders; the Founders Endowment Scholarship and the John Osmun Scholarship. PCO members, at their annual meeting on October 24th, voted to name a third scholarship - the Austin Frishman scholarship - to honor him for his vast contributions to the pest management industry.

NWCOA is presenting the NWCOA Certified Basic Wildlife Control Operators course in Connecticut on November 9th and 10th. This two-day certification course provides training to new and current WCOs that perform wildlife management services in or on residential and commercial properties. Upon completion of this course and successful passing of a test, the WCO will become a NWCOA Certified Basic Wildlife Control Operator, receive a certificate of completion, and use of the logo. Walk-ins welcome, but pre-registration by noon on Wednesday, November 8th is greatly appreciated!
