News From National
AB 2422, a bill that would ban all anticoagulant rodenticides in California was withdrawn by the author moments before the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee was set to consider the legislation! Hundreds of meetings, grassroots pressure, and a steadfast determination to protect public health engendered this outcome. A special thanks to the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC) and their 150+ Legislative Day attendees who stormed the Capitol in Sacramento and communicated the special need for federally and state approved rodenticides and their vital role in protecting public health. Additionally, the PCOC membership and allies sent over 450 grassroots messages to their CA Assemblymembers and hundreds of additional letters to members of the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee. Lastly, we want to also thank the countless member companies, strategic partners, registrants, and allied organizations who banded together and worked tirelessly to defeat this bill.
