REALTORS celebrate a successful Lobby Day 2010

Approximately 300 REALTORS from across New York State gathered at the State Capitol last Tuesday, June 8, for NYSAR's largest Lobby Day turnout ever! After opening remarks by NYSAR President Hank Fries, Assemblyman Jonathan Bing and an issues briefing by Director of Government Affairs Mike Kelly, REALTORS met with their respective state legislators to discuss real estate- related issues.

NYSAR members largely spent Lobby Day urging their lawmakers to reject proposals that would have a detrimental effect on New York's fragile housing market. New York's REALTORS also educated their representatives on the need for property tax relief; increased transparency and disclosure in co-operative housing; agency disclosure reforms and property condition disclosure revisions.
