Governor Cuomo releases budget estimates

According to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York State is facing a $35 million shortfall in its current budget. The estimated budget gap for next year appears to have grown as well, to roughly $3-3.5 billion. This number is $1 billion higher than projected during the first quarter of 2011.
