U.S. Commerce Department: Housing starts fall nationally and for Northeast in April

Privately-owned housing starts in April were at a seasonally adjusted rate of 82,000 for the Northeast, down 12.8 percent from the March total of 94,000, according to data released by the U.S. Commerce Department.
