New York State attorney general announces $20 million for community land banks

New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced $20 million
in funds for eight community land banks across New York. Last week, he announced the start of a
competitive application process for land banks to finally receive funding and
fulfill their intended purpose: reviving neighborhoods still recovering from
the housing collapse and the ensuing foreclosure crisis.
