U.S. Commerce Department: Housing starts down in February for Northeast

Privately-owned housing starts in February were at a seasonally adjusted rate of 75,000 for the Northeast, down 37.5 percent from January 2013, according to data released by the U.S. Commerce Department. Building permits for the Northeast in February rose 6.3 percent to 102,000.
