U.S. Commerce Department: Housing starts rise, while building permits fall for Northeast in June

Privately-owned housing starts in June were at a seasonally adjusted rate of 105,000 for the Northeast, up 14.1 percent from May, according to data released by the U.S. Commerce Department.Building permits for the Northeast in June fell 15.5 percent to 98,000.
