U.S. Commerce Department: July new home sales fall in Northeast and nationally

Sales of new single-family homes in the Northeast in July fell 30.8 percent to a seasonally adjusted rate of 18,000, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. June’s revised annual rate was 26,000.
