RealtyTrac: New York State November 2014 total foreclosures on the rise from October and year-ago levels

In its U.S. Foreclosure Market Report for November 2014, RealtyTrac reported that New York State had 4,824 total foreclosures, a 14.97-percent increase from October and an 18.76-percent increase from November 2013. New York State ranks 25th out of all 50 states for monthly total foreclosure filings. One in every 1,680 housing units in New York State received a foreclosure filing in November.
