RealtyTrac: New York State January 2015 total foreclosures fall from December, rise from year-ago levels

In its U.S. Foreclosure Market Report for January 2015, RealtyTrac reported that New York State had 4,005 total foreclosures, a 14.09-percent decrease from December, but a 4.65-percent increase from the same time last year. New York State ranks 30 out of all 50 states in monthly total foreclosure filings. One in every 2,026 housing units in New York State received a foreclosure filing in January.
