New York State housing market grows in first half of 2015; sales, selling price, and pending sales climb

The New York State housing market posted healthy gains in nearly all categories including sales, median selling price and pending sales during the first half of 2015, according to the housing market report released by the New York State Association of REALTORS. Closed sales were up 3.4 percent in the first six months of 2015 compared to the same period last year, while the median sales price increased 3 percent and the number of pending sales jumped more than 12 percent.
