U.S. Commerce Department: New home sales continue to rise for Northeast

Sales of new single-family homes in the Northeast during June rose 28 percent to 32,000, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. May’s revised annual rate was 25,000. Nationally, new home sales were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 482,000, down 6.8 percent from May, but 18.1 percent above the June 2014 total of 408,000.
