U.S. Commerce Department: New home sales rise more than 23 percent in July for Northeast

Sales of new single-family homes in the Northeast during July rose 23.1 percent to 32,000, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. June’s revised annual rate was 26,000. Nationally, new home sales were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 507,000, up 5.4 percent from June and up 25.8 percent from July 2014.
