Governor Cuomo nominates new DEC commissioner

Basil Seggos was nominated last week by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to become the next Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner, succeeding Joe Martens. Before his nomination, Seggos served as the governor’s Deputy Secretary for the Environment since 2013. Seggos’ nomination is subject to Senate confirmation. Click here for more background.
