Mortgage applications decrease in weekly MBA survey

In its Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending Feb. 19, 2016, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) reported that the volume of mortgage loan applications fell 4.3 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one year earlier. The Refinance Index also decreased, falling 8 percent from the previous week, while the Purchase Index rose 2 percent. To read the entire MBA press release, click here.
