NYSAR supported amendment to Code of Ethics approved by NAR

Last week at the REALTORS Conference & Trade Expo in New Orleans, the National Association of REALTORS Delegate Body approved an amendment to Article 10 of the Code of Ethics to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. In a roll-call vote, more than 93 percent of the Delegate Body voted in favor of the amendment.

NYSAR has been on the front lines supporting this issue since early 2009. In addition, NYSAR 2008 President Linda Page, 2010 chair of NAR's Professional Standards Committee, and Leah Caro, 2010 chair of NYSAR's Professional Standards Committee, spoke at the Delegate Body meeting in support of the amendment.
