U.S. Commerce Department: Housing starts increase more than 40 percent for Northeast in July

Privately-owned housing starts in July were at a seasonally adjusted rate of 115,000 for the Northeast, up 40.2 percent from the revised June total of 82,000, according to data released by the U.S. Commerce Department.
