In its Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending November 21, 2014, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) reported that the volume of mortgage loan applications fell 4.3 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted basis, the index rose 5 percent compared with the previous week. Both the Refinance Index and the Purchase Index fell in the weekly survey, decreasing 4 percent and 5 percent respectively.
