New York to provide grants for foreclosure prevention

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced that New York State will be providing $11.5 million in funding that will support counseling and legal services that provide free assistance to families who are at risk of foreclosure. Legal service providers that have a proven record of helping homeowners will receive the grants, pending review and approval from the state and are for one year with the possibility of a one-year renewal.
