Axalta Releases New Rival Products for Economy Commercial Transportation Market Glen Mills, PA – June 10, 2015: Axalta Coating Systems has introduced a new urethane primer and polyurethane clearcoat to expand its Rival™ economy paint brand family that offers just the right mix of value and performance for shops in the commercial vehicle industry. Rival RV400 Urethane Primer is designed to be fast-drying and easy-to-sand with good fill properties. It is recommended for use over properly treated substrates such as aluminum, steel, fiberglass and plastic. RV400 Urethane Primer can be mixed using Rival RV128™ activator to achieve 2.1 lbs/gal volatile organic compounds (VOC) levels. When customers desire added durability and protection, Rival RV500 Polyurethane Clearcoat is recommended for use over Rival topcoat. It is intended for use on overall applications to provide a high performance, high-gloss shine. RV500 Polyurethane Clearcoat is also mixed using Rival RV128 activator at 2.1 lbs/gal VOC levels.
