The National
Research Council (NRC) promotes the development, adaption and/or adoption of
technology by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through the Industrial
Research Assistance Program (IRAP). The Prairie Agricultural Machinery
Institute (PAMI) has established an agreement with the NRC to help Canadian
SMEs access scientific, technical and business advice, and short-term technical
services in support of advancing research and development activities.
Under this agreement, SMEs from any province may access up to $7,500 of funding
per client to assist in product and process development activities, and product
commercialization efforts. This will help SMEs streamline product
development, expand innovation capacities, and enhance their ability to compete
locally, nationally, and globally. SME’s maybe eligible for the project if they
are incorporated, for profit, less than 500 employees, and located in Canada.
