"Background checks cannot report criminal convictions older than seven years."
If this were a post-presidential debate fact-checking post, the claim that background checks cannot include criminal convictions older than seven years would be rated as "mostly false." While still commonly cited, the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act’s limitation on reporting criminal convictions older than seven years was removed from the law in 1996 – almost 20 years ago.

AHRMA’s Bob Cartwright and Juanita Baldwin, along with many other volunteers, will be onsite providing motivational speaking, Information about the Mickey Leland Environmental Internship Program, and coaching for those who have proudly served our Country.

Service members, veterans, spouses, and transitioning service members who are currently enrolled in school and have an interest in a paid internship within the Government sector are invited to attend.
