We hope you are as excited as we are for next week's 50th Anniversary & Annual Meeting on July 13-15. We are looking forward to seeing all our attendees in Nashville at the fabulous Omni Hotel for three days of quality speakers, outstanding topics and countless networking opportunities. The discussions, ideas and conversations had at this meeting will be brought back to municipalities across the state. Thank you to each and every attendee who will be at the meeting -- your presence makes a difference! With this being our 50th Anniversary, we have a few extra special events planned. In fact, This newsletter you are reading is something new we are doing for this year's meeting. Each morning of the meeting, you will receive this newsletter, which will have highlights of the day's events, engaging interviews, coverage of sessions, social media connections and more. We hope this newsletter will help you navigate the meeting as well as help preserve our 50th Anniversary milestone. Both attendees at the meeting and members at home can read the newsletter and follow along with the event as it unfolds. We are proud to bring you this new resource and welcome any feedback. There is so much to look forward to next week -- thank you again to those packing their bags (reminder: suggested meeting attire is "Business Casual") to come to the wonderful city of Nashville. We are often asked how we put on such a great meeting. It takes a lot of hard work by the committee and staff, of course, but it wouldn't happen without a very special group of our friends across the industry who unite with us to bring a top-quality meeting to Tennessee Municipal Electric Systems. Quite frankly, we couldn't bring in the speakers addressing topics important to each of you, have the many opportunities for special events, provide the outstanding food and drink, and give you the opportunity to learn and network without their support. We encourage you to give these folks the opportunity to meet your system needs. They'll be represented at the annual meeting, and you'll find most of them in the Exhibit Area, where you can meet and talk. The Reception, Breakfasts, Breaks, and Social Hour will held be in the Exhibit Area, so don't miss this chance to say thanks and make a new friend, or business partner!  New this year will be our Twitter hashtag -- #TMEPA50 -- that you can use to share your experience at the meeting and make connections with new partners. Those at home can also follow the meeting by typing the hashtag into Twitter, which will bring up every tweet that includes this hashtag!
