The Primary Objectives of Teleclass Education are to provide the best possible infection prevention and control information, to the widest possible audience, with the fewest barriers to access. By strict definition, a teleclass is a live seminar to which people listen and participate over the telephone, or access through on-line recording. The minimum technical requirement to participate in Teleclass Education is access to a telephone and access to email, or a computer with Internet access and speakers. Teleclasses take place over the telephone so you can join wherever there is a phone. The presenter's slides and handout notes, and the number of the Bridge Line and PIN code are emailed to all registrants at least 48 hours in advance of the teleclass so access to email is necessary.

A meeting of the Gamma Chapter Executive was held on October 7, 2011, to discuss the upcoming year and what we could do to encourage Chapter members to get involved. Since some of the executive could not attend the conference, those members who did attend gave an update on what occurred and the changes made to the constitution. The Gamma Chapter course in February 2011/2012 is in Ottawa at the General Campus, and there are over 70 people enrolled in the course.

I would like to thank all the people who attend our meetings and contribute to the chapter. A chapter is only as good as its members. We have been fortunate in having the highest membership for the last three years and this is because we have an active chapter and an excellent executive. I want to thank Nancy, Michelle, Tammy and Nicole for all their work as this executive works as a team and this works well.

This article is written to provide one with options if the reprocessing of reusable medical devices cannot be performed effectively and safely.
