A struggle in maintaining the integrity of healthcare lies in knowing how to apply ethical principles in stressful professional and family caregiver roles. Our web seminar provides the framework for developing a holistic ethical caregiver strategy based on: applying a practical approach to ethics in healthcare; knowing the difference between types of neglect; making sure there are abuse-prevention services in one’s area; and learning the ethical roles of elder law attorneys in consulting aging clients and their families on end-of-life issues. One free CEU credit will be offered to attendees.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • List the four ethics of principlism: autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence and justice;
  • Discuss the three kinds of neglect: active neglect, passive neglect and self-neglect;
  • List resources about securing local abuse prevention services; and,
  • Understand the ethical role of elder law attorneys in providing ethical healthcare advice in the disposition of legal estate issues.

This webinar is designed for professional referral sources and family caregivers. One free CEU credit will be offered to all eligible attendees for attending this webinar.
