On October 27 & 28, Chalifour Canada held their second annual two-day Retailer Buying Expo at Place Bonaventure in Montreal, QC. Over 1,800 retailer and vendor attendees gathered from across Canada for the Expo.
The sold-out 120,000 sq. ft. Expo floor featured booths from 260 hardware and LBM companies, represented by 950 vendor representatives. 760 retailers representing an array of banners were in attendance.

That was the choice facing owner Vince Cavallo and his cousin, store manager Max Careri, just three years after they moved the family’s 40-year old business to a new location in Brampton, Ontario. With a RONA big box right across the street, a Canadian Tire two kilometers to the west, and both Lowe’s and Home Depot even closer in the other direction, Lumberland North simply had to differentiate — or disappear.
