This week in NYC: The AAFA team is in NYC this week, hosting our Fall 2017
Environmental Committee and
Social Responsibility Committee meetings and engaging with many AAFA members. For questions on how to get involved, contact
Kristen Kern. AAFA will also be attending the Two Ten Footwear Foundation Annual VIP Dinner & Gala tomorrow evening to help honor the footwear community and support the Two Ten mission.
What’s next for NAFTA? Last week marked the end of the fifth round of negotiations, slated to pick back up on December 14. AAFA continues to ask members send an email letter to
support a modernized NAFTA that functions for our industry – it takes just a few minutes. Stay tuned for more detailed member updates this week and later in December. For more frequent updates, contact
Steve Lamar to take part in the
Government Relations Committee.
Meet the Brand Protection Council: AAFA’s
Brand Protection Council (BPC) focuses its efforts on the global war against counterfeit apparel, footwear, accessories, and other supplier products. Charged with helping to protect U.S. branded products against cheap imitations that are flooding the marketplace, the council is composed of legal, brand enforcement, and marketing representatives of AAFA member companies. The group’s next
quarterly call is on December 5. To join, contact AAFA’s
Christina Mitropoulos.
AAFA’s advertising partner: Naylor Association Solutions is AAFA’s partner in delivering this newsletter to your inbox each Tuesday. If you are looking to expand your visibility within the apparel and footwear industry in 2018, please contact Kira Krewson at
