AAHOA News
Today, Thursday, January 11, is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, or #WearBlueDay.
AAHOA remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting awareness and educating our community on how to recognize and report suspected instances of human trafficking.
The global statistics on human trafficking are alarming, with an estimated 25 million to 40 million victims worldwide and approximately 50,000 new victims brought into the U.S. each year. The ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have only intensified the vulnerability of at-risk populations.
Today for #WearBlueDay, we urge each member of our community to participate in this visible stand against human trafficking. Wearing blue is not just symbolic; it is a tangible demonstration of our collective commitment to eradicating this crime.
In our ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking, AAHOA offers BEST Inhospitable to Human Trafficking Training, Sponsored by AAHOA. This comprehensive, completely digital training is available free of charge to all AAHOA Members and their employees.
