Truist Securities reports, “Overall U.S. RevPAR was +3.2% y/y for the week ending 3/23/2024, per STR, above the prior week's result of -3.5% y/y and above the trailing 10-week average of +0.6%. Monday through Wednesday demand was the strongest of the week with ~+6% to ~ +7% RevPAR growth, a reversion from prior weeks, where weekend RevPAR growth was the high watermark. We believe there was a pull forward of group demand due to the Easter holiday. Upscale RevPAR: +3.6% y/y; Upper Midscale RevPAR +1.1% y/y.”
