Congratulations to AAHOA Lifetime Member Ricky Patel for his appointment by Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn to the Los Angeles County Consumer Affairs Advisory Committee. This committee advises the Director of Consumer Affairs regarding the need for changes in procedures, programs, or legislation to protect consumers and methods for more effective consumer education.

"This Commission is critical to helping LA County educate and, above all, protect consumers," Hahn said in an article in the Downey Patriot. "Ricky has the experience and the commitment to the public good that we need. I'm thankful to have Ricky's input on this important body."

Almost 90% of hotel owners pay more in property taxes than they should. This is because your hotel's market value is not its taxable value. Most hotel owners, management companies, tax assessors, and consultants do not know the difference.

Discover a way to potentially reduce your property taxes and build your net operating income.

Join us to hear from Abraham Tieh, director of national commercial property tax, O'Connor & Associates.

A MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN MIRAJ S. PATEL

AAHOACON24 had more than 7,000 registered attendees and 524 exhibitors at the Orange County Convention Center. There were 44+ education sessions, and just over 84,500 square feet of exhibit.

On top of that, 100% of all exhibiting hotel brands rebooked for AAHOACON25.

We are just getting started!

On stage at our annual Convention & Trade Show, I shared several video clips of promises I made when I ran for AAHOA Secretary. However, we must be unified in our approach.

I followed up on each one, explaining what AAHOA has already done, and the plans for the future. I explained how we plan on keeping those promises…promises to our members and the entire hospitality industry.
