AAHOA President and CEO Chip Rogers will address attendees at Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) Law, the law conference for hotel owners and operators, to be held January 23-24, 2017, in Los Angeles.

ALIS Law, the newest ALIS conference hosted by Burba Hotel Network and the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA), focuses exclusively on hospitality-related legal matters and issues commonly faced by hotel owners and operators. A few key topics on the 2017 agenda include joint-employer liability, hotel-management agreements and labor.

"Having a voice in and outside Washington is more important to our industry than ever before," said AH&LA SVP, Government Affairs Vanessa Sinders. "With so much happening at the state and local level that impacts hoteliers, we need to remain united, working on behalf of our employees and our industry to make a difference."

AAHOA is on the front lines every day of legislative efforts aimed at creating and preserving a favorable business environment for the hospitality industry as a whole and AAHOA’s nearly 16,000 members.

Rogers, a former Georgia Senator and Senate Majority Leader, joins an impressive roster of speakers selected from among the hospitality industry’s foremost thought leaders, entrepreneurs, attorneys and executives from all facets of the industry. Rogers will serve on the "Update from D.C. - The Aftermath of this Historic 2016 Election and What it Means for Your Business" panel moderated by Vanessa Sinders of AH&LA. He will be joined on the panel by Chris Nowak (Wyndham), Paul Snyder (IHG) and Alfred Young (LaSalle Hotel Properties).

The conference will also feature several general-counsel roundtables.

"The legal issues that come with hotel ownership, operation and investment are extraordinarily complex," Rogers said. "ALIS Law is a boon to hospitality for its careful selection of industry authorities to lead and share in these important legal discussions."

ALIS Law will be held at the Residence Inn and Courtyard Los Angeles.
