AAHOA Helps U.S. Dept. of Energy Set Energy Consumption Priorities for 2018

In May, the Dept. of Energy’s Better Buildings Alliance selected AAHOA Treasurer Jagruti Panwala to sit on the Hospitality Steering Committee, representing AAHOA’s 16,000+ members. Through BBA, AAHOA will work with the DOE to educate and encourage America’s hoteliers and others within the hospitality industry to reduce their energy consumption. This month the committee finalized its priorities for fiscal year 2018, and will continue to work throughout the year to identify and validate high-impact technologies that produce significant energy savings.
