AAHOA statement on court’s injunction of Persuader Rule
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Asian American Hotel Owners Association President and CEO Chip Rogers released the following statement regarding theinjunction of the U.S. Department of Labor’s persuader rule:
"The Labor Department’s persuader rule held that small business owners, who are only interested in how to grow their business and create jobs for their communities, couldn’t consult with legal experts on the ins and outs of labor law without reporting to the government. This was an absurd overreach by the Department. We welcome the court’s injunction and look forward to the rule being thrown out permanently."
Founded in 1989, AAHOA (www.aahoa.com) is the largest hotel owners association in the world, with more than 15,000 small business owner-members. AAHOA members own almost one in every two hotels in the United States.
