Alabama Members Defeat Lodging Tax Increase

Recently AAHOA members in Florence, Ala., fought against a 5 percent lodging tax increase proposal. After rigorous advocacy efforts, the Florence City Council voted against the tax proposal in a vote of 4 to 2. Many thanks to Hiran Patel and AAHOA’s Alabama hoteliers for their tremendous leadership.
