SunTrust Robinson Humphrey reports, “Luxury (+6.4%) was the strongest chain scale for branded hotels; Midscale was the weakest at -1.3%. Upper Midscale (-0.6%) also underperformed the industry average. Last week's STR results were a continuation of the MLK holiday shift impact with Groups shifting into last week from the prior holiday week. This was as expected.
