AAHOA News

The 2022 AAHOA Elections credentialing process for eligible voters to verify your identity begins soon on Monday, March 28 and ends April 8. Because this is a new process and we want to ensure you’re thoroughly informed, we recently launched a new Elections Resource Center on AAHOA.com, which has detailed information on everything you need to know, including a new step-by-step video. However, there are two critical things to know before the credentialing process begins:
  • Eligible voters MUST HAVE a unique email address and mobile phone number on file in MyAAHOA.com to complete the credentialing process. You CANNOT SHARE email addresses or mobile phone numbers.
  • If you do not complete the credentialing process during this 12-day period - March 28 through April 8 - you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE in the 2022 AAHOA Elections.

Jeffrey Iqbal will headline the Block Party at Power Plant Live! and Shaan will take the stage for the closing Gala at AAHOACON22. Iqbal, the first American-born Bollywood singer, has amassed millions of hits on social media platforms and has appeared on several highly rated reality shows. He also has toured and performed alongside some of India’s biggest stars. Indian superstar playback singer/actor Shaan, besides having his own impressive discography, has provided the voice for many of Bollywood's leading actors. A “Best TV Music Director” award winner in 2003, Shaan twice was the winning coach on India’s “The Voice” and currently is the host of “Star Voice of India.”

In the Market

Truist Securities reports, “Last week’s RevPAR was up against a +124.5% comparable result in 2021 vs. -15.8% in the prior week. On a 3-year run-rate (vs. 2019), RevPAR was +9.5% vs. -2.8% in the prior week’s 3-year run-rate. In short, last week was a very decent week across the board: healthy recovery of midweek Upper Upscale demand, still-strong ADR growth for the most part (Upscale less so), resort outperformance, and a slow but progressing recovery in Urban and large-group hotels. Between Ukraine-related issues and rising gas prices, we so far struggle to see a material impact in the high-level market and national stats from STR. ADR growth was very strong vs. 2019 for most chain scales (U.S.: +14%, Luxury +35%, Economy +15%, and Upscale by far the weakest at +5%). Upscale RevPAR: +64.2% y/y and -2.0% over 3 years; Upper Midscale RevPAR: +44.1% y/y and +9.2% over 3 years.”
