AAHOA has been hard at work, and we are continuing to make significant progress on franchisee advocacy. As your AAHOA Chairman, it’s one of my top priorities: To ensure we’re using the power and strength of AAHOA to advance the business interests of our members – whether at the local, state, or national level.

AAHOA Lifetime Member Kanti S. Patel received a Community Service Award by the Ilinois Secretary of State Jesse White. Patel has been an AAHOA Member for more than 20 years, and served as an AAHOA Ambassador for six years. AAHOA also recognized Patel in 2017 with a community service award. The ceremony took place at the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago O'Hare Airport.

The Florida Department of Revenue has announced a temporary sales tax exemption period during which tax is not due on the retail sales of impact-resistant doors, impact-resistant garage doors, and impact-resistant windows, including those for commercial use. The exemption period begins Friday, July 1, 2022.

On a 3-year run-rate (vs. 2019), RevPAR was +9.4% vs. +10.7% in the prior week’s 3-year run-rate. We view last week as a clean comp.
