AAHOA Members all over the United States are getting ready to celebrate Diwali, otherwise known as the Festival of Lights, which starts on Saturday, October 22, and runs through Wednesday, October 26.
Diwali signifies the victory of good over evil and is widely associated with Lakshmi, Goddess of prosperity, and Ganesha, God of wisdom and the remover of obstacles. For five magical days, families celebrate by wearing their finest clothing, decorating their porches with rangoli, preparing food, and lighting divas.
AAHOA Chairman Neal Patel shared this sentiment about what Diwali means to him: "Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is a special holiday for my family and me. Diwali symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and hope over despair. I enjoy spending this time with my family and friends embracing our rich culture and tradition. From my family to yours, I wish you a happy, fun, and beautiful Diwali!"
Happy Diwali to everyone who celebrates this special occasion!

He is a sought after industry expert and has been featured on the Associated Press, Nerdwallet, Newsweek, Fox Business, Authority Magazine, NOLA.com, WWL-TV, and many local media outlets over the years.

I stayed with him and started working at Best Western and restarted my life again,” Patel shared. “Looking at that phase and looking at my life now, it is a very fulfilling life. I have a family, two daughters, and a successful business. It is something I would have never imagined.”
In addition to owning and operating hotels, Patel is also a tech entrepreneur and the founder of INNRLY, a proprietary software that streamlines the day-to-day duties of hoteliers.
