The New Mexico Environment Department, Environmental Health Bureau is proposing changes to the regulations for public swimming pools, which includes those at apartment communities. Some of the changes are applicable to all facilities, and others may only apply depending on the class of pool. NAA is now a partner with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) Pool Safely campaign. Last year, more than $24,000 was raised at the ACTS and provided to qualified member communities’ residents, employees or dependents of employees enrolled in a college/trade school for the fall 2016 term. Each selected scholarship recipient is awarded a $500 gift card and receives a certificate of acknowledgment.Scholarships are available to all residents and employees and their dependents of an AANM or a SWAHG member property.
