The Turks & Caicos archipelago is a major Caribbean cruise tourism destination. In 2014, the Grand Turk cruise terminal received 343 ship calls and 971,838 passengers. The industry is also a major contributor to the islands’ economy, accounting in the 2014-15 cruise year for expenditures amounting to $95 million, 1,654 jobs, and $29.1 million in employee wage income, according to a study released this month by the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association.
